Golfscore Club works in any modern browser — Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge — on desktop, tablet, or phone. Keep your browser updated to the latest version; an old or unsupported browser is the most common cause of odd layout or scoring glitches.
This is almost always a browser privacy setting blocking the storage the app uses to remember you're signed in, not an account problem.
Private/Incognito windows: sign-in is expected not to persist there — use a normal window instead.
Safari: Settings → Privacy → make sure "Block All Cookies" is off, or add golfscore.club as an exception.
Any browser: if you have a cookie- or tracker-blocking extension, allow golfscore.club through it.
For players and scorers entering scores during a round.
Give it 5–10 seconds — updates are usually near-instant but can lag slightly on a slower connection. Still stuck? Hard-refresh: Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows (Chrome, Firefox, Edge) or Cmd+Shift+R on a Mac. On iPhone/iPad Safari, pull down on the page to refresh.
Open that round's score entry and check the raw hole-by-hole numbers. The most common cause is a typo — the app only accepts plain numbers, so something like "5a" instead of "5" won't calculate correctly. Re-enter it as a number and save.
Team Cup match status only updates once every player in that match has entered a score for the hole. If it looks stuck, check whether everyone in the group has actually scored that hole yet.
For players joining via a link from the organiser.
There's no separate "Join" step — signing in from an event link enrolls you automatically in the background, with no on-screen confirmation. Reload the event page after signing in; if it loads normally, you're in.
A real Golfscore Club event link contains "?eventId=" in the address (e.g. golfscore.club/?eventId=AbC123). If yours doesn't look like that, it may have been copied or forwarded incorrectly — ask the organiser to open My events and use the share icon on the event to send you a fresh link.
If the organiser has removed the event, its link will stop working. Check with them — a recently deleted event can often still be restored.
For Team Cup events where the organiser has set up Captain access.
Captain access is optional and set up per team by the event organiser — not every Team Cup event has it. Look for the Captain sign-in option on the event, choose your team, and enter the PIN your organiser gave you.
Double-check the digits with your organiser — PINs are 4–6 digits, and even one wrong digit will reject it. If you've genuinely lost it, ask your organiser to look it up (or set a new one) from the event's Setup screen.
That's a network error, not a wrong PIN — check you have internet access and try again.
You can set your own team's pairings for each match slot from your own roster. The match format and who you're playing against are set by the event organiser and can't be changed from the Captain view.
For organisers/admins creating and managing events.
Every hole (1–18) on the round's course needs its own stroke index (SI), with no duplicates and none missing. Fill in the SI grid completely and save again.
An event needs at least one named player before it can be saved — add one (even yourself) and try again.
Saving happens in two parts: the confirmation screen appears immediately, and the actual write to the server finishes moments later in the background. If your connection drops at exactly the wrong moment, that background part can fail without showing an error on screen.
Check your connection, wait a few minutes, and look again under My events. If it's genuinely not there, recreate the event.
A few common causes: a typo (copy-paste the key rather than typing it), the key has already been claimed on a different account, it's expired, or it doesn't match the license type you purchased.
Check your purchase receipt, and make sure you're signed into the same account that originally claimed the key.
Each event belongs to whichever account created it — this is almost always caused by being signed into a different account than the one used to set it up. Sign out and back in with the right one.
If the event has been marked complete, only the organiser (or the app owner) can reopen it for further edits.
Try just the first few letters, or a different spelling (e.g. "St. Andrews" vs "Saint Andrews"). If it genuinely isn't in the database, you can create it manually from the course picker.
Check for typos in their email address first, then ask them to check spam/junk and whitelist noreply@mail.golfscore.club.
There's also a sending limit of 3 batches per 10 minutes per organiser — if you've sent several rounds of invites quickly, wait a few minutes and try again.
Still stuck? Contact support with the event ID (from the address bar) and your account email, and we'll help you sort it out.
